The Need:
Studies currently show that about 47 out of every 1000 children are reported as victims
of child maltreatment. Each year CFGC serves an increased number of children who are victims of divorce, neglect and abuse, some as young as 2 years old. The growing need for child counseling services has been far greater than our facility’s capacity.
The Project:
This $1.3 million project meets current and future needs of child services in our community. The beautiful 2,300 sq ft addition will provide expanded capacity to serve children ages 3-12 in our Healing Hearts Program. There is enthusiastic support from local partners including Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, Comprehensive Mental Health, Child Protective Services, insurance providers and others. Our community partners recognize the growing need to serve children who are victims of abuse and violence.
